i got my torch last monday and noticed that the battery was draining very fast
on meterberry the discharge rate was about 10% and the temperature would be 35c+ from time to time and i could feel the warmth at the back

so i called rogers yesterday and asked for replacement.

the weird part is that today my battery isnt draining as fast.

is it possible that the battery is slowly regaining its original capacity?

What do you mean sunspots? Like the sunspots from the sun affect the battery?

You had an app running amuck. Usually a battery pull will correct that. If it comes back you may need to start removing 3rd party apps to see which one it is... MB depending on your config can drain the battery as well as being in a weak 3G area since the device will scan all bands. To stay on 3G vs going down to 2G.

As your battery life would be sub-par after any OS upgrade, it's the same for an out of box blackberry. It takes a few days.
