    Before I get vlingo plus, I want to know if I am able to launch applications with it? Like quicklaunch or camera

    I've used it for two years. I love it. You can open virtually any program with it. I don't have quicklaunch but any other program I have used has worked.

    Don't know how it is on bb but vlingo on my HTC Incredible definately eats up battery but will open apps tpe email / text etc. Great for the car.

    Vlingo Plus does open the camera. I am almost positive it would not open QuickLaunch, though. The only third-party app I can open with it is Google Maps. Asking it to open any other third-party app -- and even some RIM apps like App World -- just brings up a search for, e.g., "Open Quick Launch."

    There is a significant battery drain on Vlingo for the Torch but it can be mitigated somewhat by turning Location Services to Off under Options in Vlingo, plus doing anything else you can on the Torch to extend battery life (e.g., 10% screen brightness).
