I switched my BB to a Torch a few days ago. I am trying to delete some of the apps I will not use via the Desktop Manager and am getting the following error:

"Validation failed because a module marked for update (net_rim_bb_appworld_resource_en) is not available on local disk"

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

    Thanks,
    B.

The application was installed via appworld. Remove them from the phone directly via applications management.

On the home screen, touch the time display. Scroll down and select Options. On next screen select Device. Scroll down and select Application Management.

    Dear God, thank you guys.
I've been having this problem too, and although it wasn't a big deal that I couldn't delete useless applications, it was definitely annoying.
