Been playing with these settings recently. I am running 6.0.0.337, and what works best for me is a Tap interval of 400 (I think this affects the responsiveness in between taps for the virtual qwerty) and a hover period of 200. I noticed this made the most noticeable difference when tapping an icon to launch it, of course your mileage may vary.
