my father bought a torch 9810 here in miami, specifically doral area, he paid $ 550, and it seems to be an unbranded rim test device but it is fully operational.. im going to see if i can grab mine... i wasnt expecting to see this device out so soon.. what do you think about it?
the silver and black is not bad as first thought.all around a very nice device.it fits the best of both worlds metaphor.the torch form factor is not new for me because i tried the 9800 when it was launched.many downplay the slider mechanism, buts its not that bad once you get used to it.im looking forward to testing out a 9810 when it arrives on at&t.
i dont think it is a tester device as my father told me the store have plenty of them.. i could not check anything else as my father was boarding a plane.. i might be going to the store tomorrow to grab one.. hopefully i'll get it.. i'll be posting more photos and find out about the mobile hotspot..
I was in Jakarta Indonesia recently and got my hands on a couple of test pieces.
I posted in the 9900 section since i had more pics of that model. Check it out : http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...w-days-628517/
It would better if there was a separate forum for the Torch Touch since it is a different device. The 9900 is also another touchscreen device that deserves its own forum as it is a 9000 updated device and form factor. The Torch 2 is an update of the original Torch thus the name of this sub-forum.

There is a 9900 sub-forum as well. Haven't had my first cup of coffee yet. My point was that if the T2 doesn't meet your needs that there are other RIM devices or other device platforms from which to choose and comment on. Not trying to discourage exchange of ideas or opinions but it is getting tiring to be reading posts about the T2 being doomed before it is released. It is also not uncommon for pre-release devices to make their way into the market but I believe that the T2 slider will released later this year on AT&T in the US first.

any idea how the keyboard is? I am hoping for a softer one like the original bold 9000, that would make this device almost perfect in my eyes...also, any HD recording?
As for the PINS, it depends on which revision the hardware is .. if it's final, they might live on. If they're not final, they'll most likely be killed.
