is there a way to over clock the Torch a bit faster?
Yes, install a good OS :D
The initial OS releases were slow. But from OS 246 onwards the Torch performs super fast and flies with its 512 MB of RAM
Installing a new OS does not over clock the processor. While the new code may make things run a bit faster, that is due to better code, not changing the processor speed. As far as I know, nobody has successfully over clocked a BB.
Not that I have seen. I did this once on a Samsung BlackJack. A modest 10% overclock produced a noticable difference. This was done with a tool but I have seen no such tool for any other deivce including BB. Now ya wana talk i7? I can show ya my water rig on EVGA.com.
