So I am trying to find out more info on what technology of touch screen the 9800 will have. The main reason being that i played with the Droid Incredible and the I-Phone 4 and the touchscreen on the I-phone is so perfectly responsive. The Droid felt like crap to me, so all I could dig up for the 9800 was that it is a TFT touchscreen. Does anyone know what that means and what kind of performance to expect?

All I know is that it will not be including the sure-press click screen.

From what I hear the Iphone screen can't be beat for responsiveness. Not sure if it is the software and how it interacts to touch or what. I have a pre+ and at one point had an HTC Hero. I have been pleased with both. Neither were perfect but I'd expect the 9800 screen to be much better.

The 9800's touchscreen will work just like the driods and iphones. It will not be sure press technology.

P.S. Use the search next time.

Yeah? But the touchscreen will still work more like the iphones. They've said it in NUMEROUS threads.

That still doesn't answer the OP's question.
He is inquiring if the screen will respond fast like an iPhone or slower like a Droid. He is not asking about the technology beind it.

And to answer the OP's question, all we know is from the videos leaks that has been posted. It seems to be pretty responsive but until we all play with it at the store, it's hard to tell.

The 9800's screen input method is as responsive as the i4's. It's top notch.

That is all anyone needs to hear, especially anyone who previously owned the original storm. from the videos that are out the screen looks impressive.

This is great news. If the 9800 can match the i4 in responsiveness I'll definitely be getting it over the i4.
