Absolutely if you have a saved network that you are around frequently (ie - home or work WiFi). I'm not sure if it will automatically connect to an open network that it finds without you telling it to.

As long as the wifi connection settings are correct.

For example if you have a hidden SSID and you don't have it set to connect even if the SSID isn't broadcasting, it's not going to auto connect.
