Since OS6 has almost completely different alerts than OS5, I need to reassign pretty much all my alerts and get used to them. Which doesn't bother me much, however the process to select an alert is a bit cludgey. You select notifier tone, then you only get a small selection, from there you go to 'All Alerts', then scroll through the list, select one, and then scroll down to 'Try It'.

Is there no way to just play each alert, one by one, like it was possible before? I know that you can hit the menu key and select 'Play', but then it will play all existing alerts in sequence. Some are so short you can't even catch the name...

If you have the list of ringtones up, instead of using the touchscreen to highlight a tone, use the trackpad and it will preview the alert sound for you.

In the dropdown where you select alerts, if you touch and hold one in the list it will pay it.
