Way to go lauren! I can't get used to the touchscreen keyboard after almost 2 years of 8900 (best bb keyboard). Its just crap!!
But Torch is awesome to have both! Glad you got it and love it. Mine is pretty solid with very very light wobble only when closed. And it looks so much better than the 9800 in the stores that I see.

hmm well i did a customer relations upgrade on monday, october 4th.
same day, i got an e-mail confirmation of my order.
everyday, i anxiously checked rogers site, ups site, my email for any updates. didn't see anything.
however, this morning, i checked my rogers account on their website, and it gave me option to upgrade my phone when i clicked upgrade my phone. (i got to select criteria to define my upgrade).
this kind of worried me, because for the past few days since i placed my order, everytime i clicked upgrade my phone, it always said "cannot upgrade, there is a hardware upgrade in process for this account". but now it gives me dumb upgrade options of full 'no term' phone prices... argh!
called track and trace today, and lady on the phone said that my order just got accepted today, and that i should get a tracking number in 24 hours? i thought the confirmation e-mail i received on monday meant my order was accepted!?!?!
ahh Rogers, you and your weird ways. i don't even care if theres a delay here or there due to stock issues or them being super busy. i just want some straight forward information
i have to wait till i get home to set up my email though. dumb work computer
So glad you finally got it!! Yes, it does take some getting used to, but it's an awesome device. I'm on day 6 with mine and just started to notice some slight movement when the slider is closed... I think it's just the way sliders are as I've done a ton of reading about this "wiggle/wobble" issue.
Omg!guess what...... On the back where it has the camera there is a crack uggggh

OMG! Now you have to call Rogers, hold, hold and hold. And then wait, wait and wait some more for your new 9800 to arrive! Very disappointing...
I spoke to Shipping and they said there is one for "me" and they are not "out of stock" So frustrating to hear different stories from each Rep you speak to!
I wouldn't let a little crack worry me - as long as it doesn't interfere with it working properly. I know it's the principle of it, but you wouldn't want to go through the saga all over again, would you?
To get the Torch ready for the launch day and at this time when they rush to get the phone out to Bell, Telus, Rogers and all others I would say not very good QC. I heard that if someone at the production line dropped the phone on the floor and didn't have any marks on it the comment was " it was a crush test " and the put it in the box for shippment.
I can upgrade in just under 2 months. Are the stores able to do early hardware upgrades? or is that something I would need to call Customer Relations for?

My store did it for me 2 months early as well. They did warn me that Customer Relations might insist they ship me the phone. Don't know how they did it but, in the end, I walked out of the store with a Torch that I was able to check for defects!
