i have a friend who's gonna let me know when her roger's store gets shipment of torch...depending on the price it's set at for 3 year contract, i may or may not purchase it.
i think the 9780 (whenever it gets released) will be less than the torch for sure
i called retentions last week and got my plan adjusted...also got a 9700 included for $49.99...should i just get right now or wait for 9780/9800?
I'd prolly wait for either the torch to the 9780.. hopefully once September hits we will actually get a release date or im organizing a massive trip to the states so we can take business away from Rogers lol
Also my father got something in the mail from Rogers offering him the Torch for 149.99 on a 3 year contract for being a customer since the beginning. Has anyone else got this?

i heard it was out today...some stores have it.....
just kidding...i'd just grab one from the states, easier.....bestbuy usually has them, walk in and pay for it, same crap...less hst....taxes usually 6-8% in the states, warranty...keep the receipt i'm sure it'll be good for atleast 1 year.

effin rogers!!!....y is canada such a dumb country 2 live in when it comes to consumer products....we get EVERYTHING last.....and on top of that we pay double.....its a nice place to live but as canucks this is BS.....rogers telus and bell can't even grow some balls and tell us something so simple and thats a date.....

this is exactly why i live near the border...but all my stuff online, ship to states and pick it up! even with declaring everything and getting taxed...i'm still saving!

That's what my buddy said. He works in blackberry support. He starts training on tuesday since the holiday on monday. He didn't give me a time frame of how long it is. Only thing he did say a couple of weeks they have them.

I just got Rumour that Rogers is launching their partnership with tbayTel mid September, just in time for the Torch!! I wonder if Rogers will give $249 on a 2 year contract! cause that is what I'd like to sign on for and what I'd like to pay.
