If Rogers decided to offer 4G service, would my Torch be able to accommodate it or would I need an upgrade of some kind? I'm just trying to think how all this will work when I get a Playbook.

the Torch is not a 4G phone.

there is no way, with its current hardware configuration to make it a 4G phone.

There is no 4g blackberry out yet. It'll be big news when the first one does come out too.

The Speeds being talked about in the US as "4G" by t-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon are all at or slower than the current 3G speeds in Canada.

in Canada all 3 major carriers use HSPA+ which is 21Mbps

HSPA Is still 3G for Canada. LTE is 4G
LTE isn't official 4G is it US marketed 4G, HSPA+ that we currently have is as fast as Verizons first roll out of LTE "4G"

    I suspect we'll see 4G marketing in 2012ish-2013. and actual 4G speeds in 2014

So how much faster is Rogers HSPA+ compared to HSPA (not sure if I'm putting that in the right way but correct me if I got it reversed)
