Hiya, as i have spoken about on another thread, i am swapping my faulty BB Torch tomorrow for a newbie - i have already backed up this one tonight using the software on the mini disc from the box, my question is

will i be able to simply wire my new torch up to my laptop and transfer all my data onto that one (im just worried that it will detect that its not the same IMEI/PIN etc) and not let me restore my data/media

You will have no issues with restoring from the backup. I have done it many times and from different devices as well. All will be good!

You should be fine just select restore in DM and select your backup file and your good to go.
