I will be getting a Torch for my wife sometime in October more than likely. I have a question though. If I buy it from AT&T directly, it will cost me $199. If I go through Amazon or Newegg it will cost me $99. I have never purchased a phone not through the actual provider, what are the negatives possibly associated with buying a phone through someone like Newegg or Amazon. Other than of course, having to wait for the phone to be mailed.
Going through a 3rd party is fine. Just remember that THEIR subsidy has its own contract, usually a 181 day contract stating that you must have X feature or Y plan for 181 days without removing or downgrading it, otherwise you will be charged Z dollars for breaking the contract with Wirefly/Amazon/Newegg.
Going through a 3rd party is fine. I run an online marketplace that sells phones/services 24/7. As long as you have good customer service, a good price, and a safe site I say go for it.Some type of warranty is good too.
