So I'm confused once again (new from Android). How do you turn it off! When I press and hold the power button it really only puts it into sleep mode. When I choose the Power Off action in the menu it does the same thing. Am I missing something?

The best way to really shut off a BB is to pull the battery out.

You can't fully power down a BlackBerry.

Best you can do is use the "power off" method and it puts it into a deep sleep mode. It will only wake up for an alarm or if there is a scheduled power-on time.
