post a pic of the icon or at least describe it to us.
it looks like the icon from the app remko but cant figure out how to get rid of it... dosent seem like i need a notification from them
You can also try going into your main Messages app.
If you keep clicking the U key, it will toggle between Unread Messages, and hopefully the notification for that icon can be found this way.
Otherwise, yes please post a screenshot as per Shansmi above.
