One minute all was fine, the next minute I look at it and it's rebooting.
What's up with that?
(The boot time is a pain btw)

when was the last time you did a battery pull?
I've had that happen to me the 2 day I've had this Torch and I also had it completely freeze on me 2ice in the last 2 weeks which forced me to take off my case and remove the battery which is very annoying. It happens when I get multiple fb notifications at once.

I have never pulled the battery. Why do you ask?
I've had the phone for around 3 weeks.
When I was using my Torch I pulled the battery every weekend to smooth things out. The first time I took the battery door off was an exercise in frustration.
So if youve never did a pull, seems your phone might have run out of resources and reset itself to free some up.
A battery pull is common practice for a BB, its like restarting a computer when its bogged down.
Try pulling the battery once a week, and yes the reboot will take between 3 and 5 minutes.
This should stop it from random reboots.
If you dont feel like doing that, then just let the unit be and it will reboot itself when unhappy.
Unfortuately, I'm relegated to doing a battery pull every couple of days. Seems more on this 9800 than my 9700, but afterward it runs great.
USED to a common practice to free up memory on older BB's with tiny memories. There should be no need for regular battery pulls now as the torch has a ton of memory and 0 leaks(regarding the OS, apps that leak memory is another story). Typically a soft reset will fix any unusual things that are happening.
Only time a battery pull should be done is when a soft reset doesn't fix the glitch or after installing a theme and/or OS install(multiple pulls should be done when installing an OS). This old thinking of pulling the battery out every day is total non sense regarding the torch.
Unless you actually watch your memory using a program like BBMeter, ive lost 20mb in a day without a mem leak.
I have since layed down my Torch and gone back to the 9700, but found that with some apps there were memory issues, although they worked... the did use more resources than truly needed.
I do actually watch my memory and with the stock OS and no apps, I have gone days with 0 change in memory.
My Torch has crashed two times in 2 months. Both times may have been related to my use of DM on Mac and not the software itself. Both times restoring the OS was necessary.
Regular issues have been no problem at all. Very different than the 9000 which the 9800 replaced. I do no regular battery pulls. If new apps or themes are installed a soft reboot usually works just fine. In my hands the Torch is the smoothest, most reliable device to date.
