Well just called my Telus store. She said torches were released yesterday and they expect the phone tomorrow or friday.

I just called Bestbuy in Ottawa Coventry road, and told me that just show up on thursday at 10.00 and I will have my Torch, that I pre-paid $50 for....

I called bestbuy-ottawa this morning to see if I can pick up my torch, and the girl told me, that I have to wait until tomorrow, when I asked if they have them in store she told me ,yes since tuesday, but her Manager sent a Memo stating can't release the phone until 10 am on thursday, the good news is they have them in stock.....

I messaged someone who was selling them on craigslist and he dropped it off last night around 10:30.

Said his friends store just got them in the evening. Bought it an unlocked it this morning.

The phone is now listed on the Rogers site, just like any other phone. I'm dissapointed that they are showing it as not supporting TalkSpot (UMA), even though the hardware supports it, and Rogers has their 3G UMA/GAN servers up and running. Hopefully this is only a short-term situation.

Go to a corporate store, auth dealers typically are smaller volume stores that recieve fewer handsets and they have certain policies of their own regarding cash buy outs etc.
