What OS does it have?
What apps have you installed?
What network carrier are you with?
Were all the apps/themes for OS 6 and the torch?
might be related to an app installed but best bet is take it back for a replacement
i Believe when you upgraded to the torch..
you brought some apps/programs from OS 5 or older.
that's why you're having this problem.
I am on os 6.0695 (i think)
I do not have any apps besides poynt and weather bug which i downloaded yesterday.
And no themes.
Oh and I have at&t.
To find your OS6 version, type About in the Search, touch options and it will quickly find 'About Device Versions' for you.
You should have 6.0.0.246 unless you've updated it yourself, which it doesn't seem like you've done.
Have you removed the battery for a minute to see if it resolves the problem?
sorry i am a bb newbie!!! i have v6.0.0.246. i did a battery pull too... so i guess we shall see!
uninstall weatherbug
do i just delete it or is there something else?
go to options > device > app management. click on weatherbug and choose delete. reboot when prompted....
Wouldn't it e simpler to just go to the icon, press menu, scroll to "Delete"
and click the trackpad? That's how I do it and it always works and leaves
nothing behind.
Yes but that failed for me when removing Vodafone Update. I only recommend that for shortcuts becuase of that personal experience. I agree it should work but since she is having app issues, why risk it with a new user.

Did you use switch device in porting your data from your old Blackberry? If so, you might want to wipe your phone and start all over again, this time loading just the data files for contacts, tasks or any other native apps you use to avoid inadvertently adding conflicting files from a previous OS. If this fails, then you should consider exchanging your phone for another.

This happened to me before. You need to wipe the OS completely and then load the latest version, or whatever one you prefer. Good luck, girl.
i did a battery pull and it hasnt happened since.
how do i wipe it and redownload the OS? which is the latest OS?
sorry this is my first bb :)
Easiest method i've found is to download a program called BBSAK. It has a very easy user friendly functionality to it. Gives you the option to Wipe OS and Load OS. Once downloaded..use your Desktop Manager program to backup your phone (this will save all your contact info, emails, etc) in case something goes wrong.
The latest OS is 6.0.0.337..it can be found at the link at the top of this forum. Download the file from the link provided, then double click on it to run it. Once it's finished running...you should be able to go to BBSAK and click Load OS..and follow the prompts from there.
okay i keep trying to download the new OS but "One or more modules could not be resolved." keeps popping up.
