    Did you read what you copy and pasted? The way I read those specs is that the 512MB of RAM will just be used for the OS and to run it. The 8GB will be used for apps and other phone data (contacts, messages, etc). That's what we've all been wanting isn't it?

    Hmmm, unfortunately the "storage for apps and data" has usually meant that an app could use memory to store information... such as podcasts. But that has always referred to the SD card in the past... so there is hope! eMMC is just an
    embedded MultiMediaCard, so who knows.

    512MB for OS alone should be sufficient (for avg. 2+ year lifespan).

    "several MBs" shouldn't be a big deal. Even if all of your games are 5MB, then you still have room for 800 games (assuming ~500MB for the OS, and 3.5MB to store your media on). If you have games several GBs in size, then you might run into issues, but you'd run into those issues on any platform...
