Thanks! I did have some apps that shouldn't be running. That doesn't explain though why the usage exploded like that.

Def agree if it fixed the data issue great if not (probably not) i would recommend either upgrade ur os or do a reinstallation of ur os it could be something corrupted in the software causing ur phone to use excessive data.

How does one check how much data is being used without having to use an app. My friend who has an iPhone showed me that they could check theirs.

Just dial *3282# from any at&t phone to check the data usage for that phone
