Thanks for the positive feedback about this phone, I was kinda worried about buying one recently, hopefully I will have the same good expirience. the infamous iPhone has dragged me through **** and back haha.
I love my 9800, and I'm starting to loving it more than my 8900 (I never though I'd say that) anyway mine is rock solid, I don't remember the last problem I had with it since I'm on 9800.
I know some have problem with it, I must be a lucky one, or maybe Canadian have different phone than the rest of the world? I know we do have option that everyone else don't have on blackberry.
Absolutely love mine, I came from a 9000. No serious issues at all in the larger screen real estate, a browser that works at a decent speed. In fact I find I am using this phone much more than I did the 9000, stuff like the browser, media player, games even. Switched carriers and am back to using UMA, which is great.
Best phone I have had ever. Briefly switch to the HTC desire - but it just didn't do it for me.
Only minor complaint I have is that when using headphones (not blue tooth) the phone rings on the handset and not through the head phones.
My wife currently using a curve was going to switch to an iphone, but has decided that torch is much cooler.

Reason: correcting typos
just got mine 2 days ago, using unlocked for Tmo and I haven't had any problems! I am lovin it! I actually left BB for an android phone for 2 months and just had to go back. Thought it was time to upgrade from my 9700 so I got the Torch and despite reading about some bad stuff, I actually don't have anything to complain about! LOVE IT!
Hey, I'm in the same boat as you. Wondering if I really want to go for that Torch or not. It is hefty in weight and the screen is beautifully brilliant.
I can live without all the apps and games, need to BBM and text a bit, along with phone calls and emails!
Coming from a guy who just went from a Storm2 to a Bold 9700, this thread is making me think, I just might sell my 2 devices and pick up the Torch. I love having a touch screen device but also like having the keyboard. My buddy says his Torch is lighter than the original Storm so I don't think I would have an issue with the weight. It is obviously the heavier of the BB devices but its still a sexy phone.
My only Issue would be, purchasing a case for it, I like cases like the iSkin for the Bold 9700 and the Torch being a phone with a slide out keyboard, there are a few restrictions with cases.
