Download a Radio app like TuneIn Radio and you may find in your local stations (assuming you live in Canada and have CBC as one of your local stations). If not then search it in the "Talk" category, then "News". Good luck.

I've trtied a number of radio access apps. I definitely prefer TuneIn Radio. No subscription, simple to use, great selection, good reception. Works equally well over data and WiFi. Just be aware that it will (as will other streaming radio apps) chew up a fair amount of your data. Also, be sure to use the Menu> Exit command when finished or it will still run in the background. The usual "escape" does not exit the app. Bear these two things in mind and you should be good. ~ecm

I use TuneIn and saved the CBC to one of my favourites. It makes it faster to listen to my local CBC station.

Definitely try TuneIn Radio. It's by far one of the best frees Apps you can have for
music, sports and news. It's 5 stars in my book.

That's a paid, subscription based service. TuneIn Radio is 100% free.

Another vote for TuneIn. Or my favorite way: podcasts with PodTrapper.

Use free version of Nobex App... Less data consumption than TuneIn. I have both but actually use the paid version of Nobex now as I love the app.

I can't say that I have tracked the TuneIn Radio data usage (I have unlimited data) but FYI there is an option setting that will only allow it to stream data if you are on WiFi.
