Pandora and Score work well but the versions seem more to be designed to work with touchscreen-only devices like the Storm.
Drivesafe.ly has stopped working for me and appears to be hogging resources. There is a 5 minute delay before it reads emails and texts and is causing my berry to slow down. I'm using vs. 1.54.

I installed Mobipocket Reader for BB on my Torch and it seems to work fine, although I haven't used it much since installing it.

Some people are putting Google Maps and while it does 'work', you are loosing the pointer on the Torch (maybe because it is the same as for the Storm?)... Anyways, without the pointer, you have no fine control to do address look up or adding favorites to specific points (unless you are lucky and tap on the right spot)... It is one app I hope they update for trackpad support.

I just got my Torch, but I have AudiblePlayer working on it using the Storm 2 version. The only thing I've found so far is that you have to download the books directly onto the Torch. I couldn't get AudibleManager on my PC to see the Torch.

I tried installing that and when I open an article everything is too big for the screen ... Did this happen for you as well and if so were you able to resize it?

Yes it happens to me too, but easily corrected by double tapping on the screen.

wow...some of you have some crazy long app lists...

I haven't really downloaded any *new* ones on my torch, just transferred them over when upgrading from my Storm (using the DM "switch device" option--only had to remove BB app world, due to incompatibility and change my weather network app, bc the one i had wasn't loading)

What I transferred (and are working):
    ebay
    Google maps
    KiK
    OpenTable
    PatternLock Lite
    Poynt
    QuickPull Free
    QuickPullLib
    ScreenShot
    Shazam
    Slacker Radio
    TalkLock
    The Weather Channel
    WhatsApp

Also, have the following "apps" on mine: says they haven't been used and not sure if it's safe to delete them (but think so?--I had all the storm themes moved over to, but obviously they didn't register and I had to delete them manually):
    all version: 5.0.1.38
    net_rim_bbgroup_calendar (Group Calendar)
    net_rim_bbgroup_database
    net_rim_bbgroup_inbox (Group Activity)
    net_rim_bbgroup_lists (Group Lists)
    net_rim_bbgroup_messaging (Group C..
    net_rim_bbgroup_photos (Group Pictu...
    net_rim_bbgroup_qm_api
    net_rim_bbgroup_qm_peer (BlackBerry Mes...
anyone know if they're safe to delete? (just don't want to lose info)

The only app I had trouble with was Pandora. When I first got my Torch with .141 I downloaded it straight from the App World. Then I exchanged the phone for a new one with .246 went to download Pandora from the App World and it said it wasn't compatible with my device. So I went straight through Pandora and got it that way. The only thing is when listening to stations you can't skip or pause using the trackpad, only the touchscreen. But when picking stations on the main list the trackpad works

    I also have..
    FaceBook
The Weather Channel (only works in portrait mode)
    KaGlomb
    BerryBuzz
