Does anyone know if there's another way, other than the obvious teardown, to see what lcd version i have? want to be sure it's the 001/111 before i order it.

seems i had my torch in my pocket yesterday, and when i took it out, i'm guessing i bumped or squeezed it somehow, because now the phone works, but the lcd does not...black screen. odd.

You could throw your phone against the wall as hard as you can and sift through the pieces to find the part. It is a lot faster than taking the time to sit down and take it apart and it usually works on the first or second try. Lol.

As Fubaz said, it has to be removed - the # is on the back.

    Look here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f209/re...-bezel-539223/

A complete disassembly is necessary to disconnect the ribbon cable as it is attached under the sliding mechanism. I assume you have some tools to do this. I've done it and know you need a T2, T3, & T6 screwdrivers + a pry tool and a lot of patience to remove the lcd. But since your lcd is broken, no patience is necessary. The hardest part of the job was removing the lcd without breaking it.

    No insurance?

Want to sell it as is? lmk
