Ok was using this and my radio file was not working could not hear anyone that i called or called me. this would be a good os if someone could change out the radio file from anther bluild..

Anybody who has a problem with the signal strength/locking, maybe you guys can try this .523 from smarTone HK., this OS .523 comes with a smaller Radio file (asia and english only).

I am with Virgin Mobile Canada. My 9860 is from Bell Canada unlocked. I haven't had any issues with signal strength myself. Though I always do a wipe after installing any new OS, if I don't I find the phone does weird things.

Yes I had, so far so good with this upgrade, a lil bit better than OS .428.

24 hrs plus with upgrade and Ive had a huge increase in battery life. Also, along those lines, prompts show up when something is draining the battery. other than that i am not noticing alot of difference with 423. It does hang on occasion. A couple of more battery pulls hopefully clears that up. Good up grade!

Battery draining 3-5% / hour according to berrymeter. What about you guys?

baterry drain is under 2 when phone is not in use. all together yesterday it was 2.4%. i did not plug it in last night, so 6am to 7am (25hrs) still had 30%. i dont mind bat drain when in use, what bugged me is drain sitting in my pocket. seems to be much better.

Os seems solid, installed it over the weekend and no issues, the battery seems to last for the day with moderate use.

I updated to .523 a couple of days ago and have this same question. I'm probably not doing this right.

This is how I understand your instructions; I go into Phone Options, I press the menu key and select "show keyboard" (full qwerty keyboard), then I enter "??5*" (press "?" and "?", then press numbers/special characters key, then press "5", then "*").

The "??5*" gets entered into search box at the top of the screen. The device monitor does not come up. All that comes up is a search result of eight items..

What am I doing wrong?
