Hi ! Top lock button driving me crazy. Went through all the threads dealing with this and noticed this posted on one of them -

'Well, the solution is simple . Just enable the keyboard shortcuts , and the shortcut key is K.

On home screen, just hit K (from physical keyboard obviously ), and it locks the device'.

I cannot figure out how to enable the keyboard shortcuts on BB6.

    Help please? TIA

From the homescreen, push the menu button and select options. The top dropdown box should be selected to application shortcuts.

shortcuts are a bit useless on torch with current OS. There's no way to bring up virtual keyboard to press those keys. You have to slide the damn thing and use physical keyboard - not cool.

Just install autolock. It will password protect the device after the screen dimms.

Thanks for all the shortcuts! I'm not very good at organising my apps so this will probably save me a lot of time.

I need the opposite on My Torch .I need to disable all shortcuts on the home screen so I can dial by name directly from the home screen without opening the contacts.
I used to do that on my curev 8520., as it has an option to disable all keybord shortcuts.
    Can somebody help ?
