Which device did you have before you bought a Torch ?

I cant answer your question about the full sites, never noticed that.
    Actually i like that feature.
If you want to surf on full pages like you do on your desktop pc, search for the " bolt browser " in google, its way faster than the native browser if it comes to visit full websites.

    Just wait until:
1.) You notice how bad the battery life is
2.) How squeaky the call and menu buttons are going to get
3.) How dust particles get under the screen and you have to remove the screen in order to clean them out.

    Those are my only cons...

    1) I have owned mine since a week of release. The battery life is perfectly
    acceptable.

    2) No squeaking from anything.

    3) No dust under the screen.

The 9800 is a fine device and worthy of being considered RIM's flagship.

I came from the original storm 9500. It was a fine phone once the software updates were refined! Also, bought this torch used on ebay (brave I know) so it has any issues its going to have thus far which is none other than one bezel paint chip. This thing is definitely worth every penny! Glad to hear others are loving theirs too!

Also, been using for about 3 hours of non stop downloading apps, bbming, and web browsing (love the multiple tabs!) And my battery is down 10% so way better than the old storm lol!

I actually took mine on a business trip last week and left my personal notebook at home, just to see how I fared. Have to say, did *not* miss my notebook except for....Farmville. But I'd planted four day crops, so I was OK...

My Torch is my very first smartphone so my experience with them is very limited. I will say that I am very pleased with my Torch. I am not experiencing the issues that others have talked about.

At first, I thought my battery life wasn't so good. But, I have noticed that the more I charge it overnight, the longer the battery lasts! So, it has gotten better all on its own.

    So, I LOVE my Torch!!!!

^^ yeah you have to take the negative reviews with a grain od salt, its a great device but its geared toward productivity with some extras in media, the other phones are the exact opposite.

My battery life is actually better than my 9700. I can make it 2 full days on average.
No dust under my screen either. Do have some noise from the back button. Not a big deal at all for me.

Overall my favorite phone currently out there. OS6 is great. im loving it. It can definetely hold me over till the QNX and Meego devices start rolling out.

You need to use smaller fonts. thats your problem. You decrease the fontsize you're battery life will increase.

First thing Id check to see is if you got any apps running that shouldnt be. Could also try draining the battery completely and then charging it up. Or it could be you have a bad battery. 4 hrs and being at 50% wouldnt be normal without pretty heavy usage.

    1) No problems with battery life for me. I'm around 40% with moderate to heavy use after 16-18 hours
    2) My Call, Menu, Trackpad, Return, and End/Power keys are fine.
    3) No dust under my screen, and I work in construction, outside on a lot of new sites, with my Torch in my belt holster.

As others have mentioned here before, not everyone expriences the same issues.
