    Hello.

I've got a BB Torch 9810, which has a password lock. I can unlock that phone as I know the password, but I want to turn off that feature as typing the password so often is too annoying me. The problem is that I can't turn that feature off, as there is a small, yellow lock near the button to turn it on/off, which won't allow me to disable it.

What can I do to disable it?

    Regards

    Are you on BES?
If so, your BES administrator will need to unlock the password options.
Otherwise, see if the advise here is helpful:

Thank you, that worked. I had to use factory reset from BBSAK program.

But now comes another thing - is there any way I can block my phone but with no password? Something that I could just click and make my phone's screen fade into black, and to unblock it I'd have to just press something, without typing password.

Just for sure - I mean the kind of blocking the phone like it was in older phones - where you had to click * and then "Unblock". There's nothing similar on BB? What about apps? Can they do this?
Or maybe reduce the time that phone needs to fade out?

    /edit
Resolved. There was an option to enable blocking the phone after sliding.
    Thanks for the help.
