How do I change the OS I am running on v6.0.0.141, platform6.4.0.64

from what I read here .141 is garbage. I just got this phone from att store 3 days ago. Why did they sell it with the .141 - PLEASE HELP

This phone has terrible battery life
lag and very slow when on browser
and the ESPN App is 10000% different from the ESPN APP on my bold, This is like the garbage iphone ESPN App

PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE! Been askung for a touch blackberry with the keypad for about 4 years, now its here and I want it to work perfect!
