I don't know if people use this feature much but it works great. A lot of the ads and coupon books that I get in the mail now have the barcodes on the back. If you open app world and select scan a barcode it will take you to the link in about 3 seconds. Works great on the Torch.

I have barcode assistant, work great on torch you can also create your own code with it, I had scanlife on curve 8900 but on torch it didnt work properly.
Actually, I just downloaded barcode assistant and, you're right, it works great.
So now that I've created my barcode, can I print it on a business card and it will transmit my info to my customers?
