    Quick question does the 9800 allow offer UMA when connected to WIFI. If it does is it a setting you have to engage. I would really appreciate any assistance. Thank you

    Mine automatically switched on UMA when the wi-fi was activated and it was logged on to my home network.

    Yup, I have it from Rogers.
    If you have the plan it should work but I believe the only way to get UMA is through retentions or a student plan.

    After contacting my carrier discovered that I need to have talk spot which is five dollars a month added it and I know have UMA when connected to WIFI

    Please tell me that Rogers is giving you something else for the $5.

    Talkspot, if it takes from your bucket of minutes, is saving THEM money. If you are in a weak cell reception area, using Talkspot is making up for the fact that they haven't put a tower in that area.

    I hope for that $5 you at least get unlimited local calling while using UMA.
