    Hi,

I originally posted the "Change 5 Bar Display to Signal Power in dBM" years back when the BB 8820, which I still have, was "state of the art." All you needed to do on it, and many later BB's, was to hit "ALT NMLL" to change from the silly bars to a numeric display of signal strength in dBM (decibels referenced to 1 milliwatt). For those who may be unaware, the LOWER the number, in dBM, the STRONGER the signal, i.e., -52 dBM is 8 dB stronger than -60 dBM, as an example.

I'm thinking of getting a new Torch with Sys 6. Does anyone here know yet if you can change from the silly bars to signal power in dBM on a Torch?

    Many TY's,

Yes it still works, and yes the font is still horrid, but maybe a little easier to read since the screen is larger than a 8330/9700/etc
