    Yes mine does. There is a sensor that detects the light change. I have it set in my settings to auto dim, pretty cool feature, though it has been around for a bit as I had it on my storm 1 also.

    Yeah, that's how the dim is supposed to work, since you need more screen brightness when it's brighter out.

    Correct. Mine does this too.

    Think about it. Why would the screen get darker in direct sunlight?
