    Torch = GSM only?

    So how does it roam in the US? And what does that mean for coverage in Canada? (I'm on Telus).

    Jeez - I wonder if I'd have to change my plan?

    Not sure exactly what kind of answer your looking for here..or "how" exactly it roams..but I'm on Telus as well and just got back from Vegas this past weekend. As soon as I hit the airport in Sin City and turned my phone on within 30seconds it had me connected to AT&T and my phone worked great. Alls I did was ensure I had a roaming data and minutes package on before I left so I wasn't bent over in service charges.

    The "Belus" network in Canada is HSPA. In the absence of that, the HSPA devices (9800, 9700, 9300, 9100) would use GSM coverage, and in the abscence of that 2G EDGE coverage.

    (Correct if I'm wrong above please someone!)

    Your Torch will work in all major areas of Canada and USA, and most of the other areas too.
