Change calendar appoint. color?

My wife just got a Torch and she loves it so far. She only has one issue and that is the weak color of appointments in the week view of the calendar. She has tried all the colors, but they are all pastel in nature, which leaves them low contrast on the screen.

Is there anything else she can do to select a deeper or more Bold(no pun intened-she had a Bold9000) color for appointments?

Or is this specific to the theme?

The color choices are in the OS itself, a theme won't make a difference. WYSIWYG.

Thanks Noah, what a bummer for her. This is something that surprisingly could be a sticking point; that and the weight. She played with an HTC something while at ATT's store and really liked the feel and heft of the HTC. I may lose my wife to Android....;-)
