    hi all, i got a bb 9810 im with giff gaff if i turn off mobile data and turn on wifi i am unable to use bbm but soon as i turn on mobile data it works, ive deleted service books re sent them, re registered still nothing it wont registrar if ive not got mobile data on plz help

    I didn't think you could use BBM over only wifi? I never could on GSM phones, although some said it works on CDMA versions.....I dunno

    If you have a BIS plan it will work over wifi, I am on CDMA but I think GSM would be the same?

    You would think. When I was using my 9900 even with BIS, I could never get BBM to work over wifi. But a friend who had a 9930 (CDMA) could

    Odd. CDMA can't surf and talk at the same time but GSM can

    Does the browser work in the same manner? Mobile data off, wifi on?

    Posted by my device of choice. Might be a BlackBerry, might not be. It is of no concern to you.

    yes i can surf the net with my wifi but not use bbm sry for delay been away x i just cant get bbm over wifi what is cdma plz x
