You and kg have spent more time complaining about people complaining than people have about the phone in the phone complaint thread. Biggest whiners here.
Hahahahaha. Funny!!
why are people who like the torch trolling this thread with how much they love it? seriously, this complaint thread turned into a bunch of fanboys complaining about people complaining. the entire reason this thread was started was for people who bought a torch and didn't like it to vent. and now it's just people whining about people whining... get a freaking life. if you've posted in this thread about how awesome your torch is compared to the very noted and publicized issues, you're not very intelligent.
maybe i should go into the 'who loves the torch?' thread where everyone is talking about how great the torch is and start complaining about nobody in there disliking it. makes about the same amount of sense.
Except that this is CrackBerry.com ... not WeHateBlackBerrys.com
Get it?
As for the title of the thread - it seems more like you are not happy with people who like the Torch or anything about RIM.
As long as I abide by the posting guidelines and adhere to the rules of conduct against attacking anyone personally, I am given the privilege to post on any thread.
Saying that people who don't agree with your viewpoint are not intelligent and telling them (us) to get a life is pushing the envelope just a bit. A bit over the top.
Not sure why you are so offended by our posts. We like what we like and as long as we abide by the guidelines we can say it.
Step back and breathe.

Agreed, I see more people complaining about people disliking the phone than people disliking the phone on CB.
Does that make sense? haha. It's just a phone, I use a BB and want to share my [negative] opinions on it :)
Absolutely loving the phone. I was a bold 9700 user. Torch is such a joy to use. I like the option of touch screen, trackpad and a solid keyboard. There are minor annoyances..like a bit top heavy, screen and web browsing not as sweet as competitors flagships, not many applications..these are the typical complaints...but I am not bothered by these....I need a phone for fast and reliable messaging, email, web and strong battery, and Torch I say is my perfect device for now..

I'm sorry but I absolutely love my torch. Its exactly what I wanted. It has keyboard that is smaller than my 9000 but I have actually come to like it. Because of its smaller size, I'm typing faster (weird huh). I love the touchscreen. Its fast and visually very nice. I especially love the touchscreen combined with the OS6. Its a great operating system.
I'm just looking forward to OS6 themes, games, and apps. They can't get here quick enough.
I am one of the unfortunate ones having the dropping BIS issue. I trust I'm going to get that fixed with either a replacement phones (I'm within my 30 days) or an upgraded OS from Rim that fixes it.
That aside (and that is a huge issue, albeit), I do love this phone. With just a few weeks of use under my bely, I am already completely accustomed to using the combo of trackpad, touchscreen and keyboard. Each one comes in handy in different ways.
Email (always a BB mainstay) is even better now with the "touch and hold" menus that pop up. This thing has some amazing little niceities.
No phone is ever going to be perfect for everyone. I have an iphone 4 and my job gave me a torch. They are both great phones, neither is perfect. Don't worry so much about what other people have and just enjoy your phones
+1 I agree
Personally, the value of these threads (to me) is if someone makes a complaint, perhaps someone ELSE can suggest a fix or a workaround: I saw a few complaints about speed and bugs in the OS, but perhaps those are fixed by newer OS release or perhaps it's dreaded "user error"?
I don't see a lot of point in just whining about what you don't like, unless you have an open mind to look for, accept, and attempt a solution. Why post if you just want to complain? I haven't got my Torch yet, but when I do, I'll certainly be looking for solutions, and asking questions, because choosing a device is an investment I won't throw away casually without trying to find the solution.
As a previous poster said, no device is perfect (I like the iPhone 3GS I'm using in the mean time, but I'm sure not 'settled' on it) but I expect that the form-factor of the Torch will suit me very well and trust that RIM will address OS issues relatively quickly.
