I must say that my torch us running great and no bugs. But I can't help to hope that it gets even better and faster than it already is. :)

I'm feeling the same way. The phone runs great, but there's still a few glitches to be worked out. For instance, the browser appears to be missing a lot of keyboard shortcuts. According to the help file, "W" (I think) is supposed to bring up the tabs menu. That would be incredibly useful...if it worked.
More features would be nice as well, like being able to add certain websites to universal search.
Overall performance boost is a given.
As for me i love my new torch but i do have something i wish was in the new OS 6 upgrade.
1. a fix for the phone ear piece so that i can hear it better during a call while at my ear. At this time i have no choice to put it at 100% to get some sound. I would like to see it go at least an extra 50% louder as i know for a fact that when its noisy outside, i and lots of others can't ear well a normal phone conversation on this phone.
2. I would like to see a way to delete some of the tabs in the main screen like the download and most used tab. I find it to be more then i need.
lets hope the guy's/girls who create OS upgrades are listening and will get them out soon.
I agree with point 1, and a simple solution to point 2 is a theme. There's lots of free or pay themes in the theme section that takes care of this quite nicely
Well, around the time of 5.0.0.250, the OS sucked a lot more than 6.0.0.246, so, I'm sure the improvements coming will be that much better!! It's not like RIM guys will develop less, because they're ahead of 5.x at it's first month.

Has anyone heard about having the ability to create "Trays" in future releases? That would be cool
Definitely looking forward to more updates. The Torch is running great as is, but like many of you said, still has a way to go. Here's to making the UI and browsing even more fluid/quicker!
Pretty sure it's coming soon...
W pulls up the tab menu for me in the browser - is that what you're talking about? Are you sure you have browser shortcuts enabled in the browser options?
That's true, but everything I've found so far is either all or nothing ... all the same tabs or just one home screen tab, but still no real ability to customize. Also, they all seem to lose a lot of features in the basic theme that I kind of like and have gotten used to, at least all the themes that look half way interesting to me. I think true customization of the tabs is something that will have to be baked into the OS. If I'm wrong and anybody knows of such a theme, please let me know!
What I would like to see are duplicates of the BB and Back keys on the touch screen, which seems like something that could easily be added to the interface. Other than that, I don't think we're going to get too much more speed or 'smoothness' from these things without a bit of an upgrade in hardware.
there's someone who visits these forums on a regular basis that isn't looking/hoping for more os updates! matter of fact, am guessing the few that unearthed a pattern to the os leaks are probably in severe withdrawal after almost 3 weeks with nothing new! personally, am quite happy with .246 but rumoured improvements have me anxious to see what's next!
Yup. "T" and "B" work fine, among a few others... Hmm...
