All-->Favorites-->Media-->Downloads-->Frequent
- When I use the touch screen to make the tab bar move from All to Favorites (for example) I will hold the bar and slide my finger to the left <--. However, when I use the trackpad to highlight the bar to perform the same action, I have to slide my finger to the right --> for the same result. As far as I can tell, this is incorrect. Does anyone else have this issue?
If this isn't fixed, I may have to leave for an EVO!
Only kidding about the leaving part. I just wanted to fit in with the rest of the whiners. I have no plans on leaving... until they release T2. I really just want to know why my track pad and my touch screen need to go in different directions to move the tab bar.

(my finger is going left to right, but the bar is actually moving right to left).09-10-10 04:12 PMLike 0 -

Why would you slide to the right for the bar to slide to the left? I would think it should be the same as the touchscreen and mimic my finger actions?09-10-10 04:37 PMLike 0 - When you're using the touchscreen and sliding left, you're basically pulling the favorites screen over to you.
When using the trackpad you move it to the right; think more like moving the cursor to the right.
So touchscreen you're pulling it to you, trackpad you're moving to it.09-10-10 04:46 PMLike 0 - OK, I can understand it that way now. It still doesn't seem right to me, but if that's how it is, that's how it is.
I just went to a text message to test something and what you're saying makes more sense now. If I use the trackpad, the cursor scrolls up the screen, which pushes the screen down (opposite my finger motion). But, if I use the touchscreen to grab the screen and push up (same motion as trackpad) the screen moves up (instead of down as with the trackpad).
Same with pictures. I slide left on the trackpad and it brings the next picture from the left side. I slide the screen left and it brings the next picture from the right side.
I guess, since I don't see the "cursor" on the tab bar, it throws me off a little.09-10-10 04:53 PMLike 0 - I think it's probably set up like alot of video games...where up on the joystick looks down, and down looks up etc.09-10-10 05:39 PMLike 0

unless you invert the controls... like you can with Flight simulators and FPS on the pc.
I honestly dont have a problem with this but it'd be interesting if you could have a preference to mimic the touch screen or vice versa by changing it but to me its pointless.
In the end i would find it a lot more confusing to have to slide my finger right to make it go right.. be quicker just to tap the right menu to go right then do that motion. It really only works when you've got a physical joystick of sorts when navigation through '3d space'.
pardon me if i didnt understand the op, its quite late now and i've got a headache haha.09-11-10 09:33 AMLike 0 - I disagree. The touchscreen should behave like a touchscreen and the trackpad like a trackpad. Coming from the 9000 this all seemed natural to me - though I did notice that they were opposite motions.09-11-10 10:23 AMLike 0
