Where did you download from? I got the e-mail as well, but cannot find the new package on the website and nothing comes up through wireless update.

Just checked AT&T's device software page on blackberry.com and it still shows 6.0.0.246 as the official OS. Not sure why you think AT&T has the newer OS.

No email from AT&T for me yet and it still says .246 is official on their website. With the bugs we are experiencing I doubt AT&T will adopt this as there new "official" OS, but who knows.

I checked as well and the newest OS they are offering is the 695 Bundle which is the .246 version. I also called. They have not released an upgrade.

Are you sure its .284 upgrade and not the .246 "official" upgrade?
I also just called AT&T to find out for sure. Tech support told me they aren't even testing .248(said they had but it was too buggy) but another build. Wouldn't give me any specifics on the build but I'm thinking this might possibly be the .3xx versions we are starting to hear about for other models.
Who knows what AT&T does, cause I for one being a customer for about 18 some odd years(some of that time was with another carrier that AT&T bought out) has absolutely no clue.

I got the email today too of an upgrade yet when I plug and check it says no new updates. I too am running .246 already. I can not find .284 anywhere. Also tried OTA and nothing. So frustrating because I never get the email that there's an upgrade. I usually find it here first. Now I finally get an official email upgrade notice and it doesn't work. uuuugggghhhh

Haha...didn't see this before my previous post. But this is probably it because I'm running the leaked .246. LOL. But I though .246 was out a while ago from ATT?

Did you upgrade to the Official AT&T .246 or the still using the "leaked" .246? Not that there is a difference, but I upgraded to "leaked" .246 when it first came out and I too got the email about the upgrade. That was weeks ago though.

Weird. I've been running the leaked since it came out and never bothered to upgrade to the official and I never got an email. A friend told me about the official. So today when I got the email I assumed it was .284. Oh well. .246 has been good for me so I guess I should stop OCDing about it. LOL. I prefer official so even thought I dl'd leaked .284 I never installed it since the .246 was good. It's just funny cuz I never get email and did this morning and thought I was getting a present.

Did you follow the link and download/install the upgrade?

If so what does your phone say for a version now? I for one cannot seem to find anywhere an "official" .284 upgrade from AT&T.

Doesn't matter either way for me, been using .284 since it was leaked. Just finding this odd. If a mass email went out to all AT&T customers I would think there would be more people posting on these forums about it.

Considering they are sending you an email, it's probably just a marketing thing.

It's one thing if you plug your phone in to the computer and DM tells you there's an update for your phone. That means it actually checks to see what version you have.

An email, on the other hand, does is probably just being sent to all users to make sure everyone upgrades from crappy .141.

Version .284 does not appear to have been "official" on AT&T

I got an email as well but checked the link above immediately. Could it have been an app published by RIM that was updated?
