Hi everybody,

I have bought a BB Torch 9800 on retail and updated it using the Blackberry Desktop Software.

My OS version is now 6.0.0.668, build 2949 (no further updates available).
The version of App World I start with is 2.1.2.19.

I tried to launch App World but it says I need to upgrade it so that I can use it. I won't expand here since it is a problem commonly known on this forum, at least prior 2017. So, here what's I tried so far:

-Download an offline installer following this thread: https://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-torch-series-f209/app-world-update-1137690/
The link seems dead

-Download a .JAD and .COD companion installer from here:
https://archive.org/details/BlackBerry.World.v4.3.0.32.OS6 then use BBSAK to install it. The installation goes well but I lost the App World icon.

-A workaround for this problem is to download an older v3.x.x.x instead, but after hours of searching on the web, all dowload links I found are now dead. In fact most of them redirect to http://rroyy.com, which seems to be closed because it displays a kind of logging page with Chinese characters... Others just display an error 404 or something like that.

-A link which was promising was offered by a russian website: http://bbsmart.ru/ota/ but it only features the AppWorld.jad but with no .cod files. I tried to install it anyway using BBSAK but it does not work as I surmised.

I hope some of these had worked some days, but we are now in 2020 so web rotting does not help...

Would you know a place when I can get a working version of World App?
Or maybe you could PM me if you own a working version yet not shared.

I'd appreciate a PM if possible. I have two Blackberry Torch 9800s, one says I don't have the wireless coverage to open appworld (I do) and the other does the olde worlde "Need to Upgrade" but then sends me to a website I can't download it from.

Would really appreciate getting a workable Blackberry Appworld as I am losing the will to live.
