it is working good and memory used is high but no hanging in between.. anyways, pull restart makes memory free.

I updated from v7.1.0.523 to v7.1.0.1033. It boots up a million times faster, and I think it is much zippier in moving around. I wasn't having any problems on v7.1.0.523, so I can't say if v7.1.0.1033 has fixed anything.

    Hello,
Currently using the .1033 OS and I am experiencing very high memory drain. In just couple of days it went from 145 mb to under 30 mb and the phone tells me it will reboot to free some memory. Every week I have the same problem. I do not think thats normal. Any ideas ? Using BB 9860

is it a area specific OS, will it work in other countries ?

No, this OS is not area specific. I've used it perfectly well with two different carriers (Optus and Telstra) in Australia.

I haven't noticed any memory drain. Isn't that more likely to be an app rather than the OS?

I said above that this OS boots up in 2 seconds, but since discovered that turning/powering off the 9860 doesn't really turn the device off or power it off completely. It just puts it in a sleep mode, which is why it seems to boot up in 2 secs. Booting up after a battery pull actually takes about 80 or 90 secs.

I've started having issues with my BlackBerry ID Sign In, but I think it's related to a new SIM card rather than related to this OS.

I've deleted a theme I got from App World, but it is still repeatedly requesting permission to have Advanced Capabilities over the device. Not sure if that is caused by a flaw in this OS.

Is there anybody willing to help me to work my torch 9810 in Greece? I have no support here whatsoever, and no clue about BB.
My new torch has the upon mentioned data. What and how do I do next.?
    A) I already have managed to function and used:
    -contacts
    -WLAN and WIFI
    -to call and receive
-to use facebook (exept it dont show me the names in the fb-messenger, only "facebook user")
    -Youtube
    -alarm clock
    -calender
-to send SMS (if I can receive I dont know yet)
    -to make pictures
-Bluetooth to send pics to my PC
-selected languages from the menue +++) pls. see below
I am working with my old SIM (provider package Vodafone/Greece) from my old Nokia 6700s.

    B) What I didnt do so far... bcs. I dont know if I should, and what and how to do.
-opened a BB-user-package at my provider, and I really want to avoid it. Is that possible as long I will not use the e-mail-function? Or will I need it already for the functions I want below?
    -create an BB-ID
    -BB messenger
    -download BB-desktop software
-nothing downloaded about BB at all, not to the PC and not to the phone
-software update (using the link above?) Before updating, do I have to make a security copy to my PC not to lose my contacts? Still nothing else on my BB to lose. If yes, where can I find how to do?

    C) What I still want...IF possible and easy to achieve:
-to send MMS...couldnt manage to send nowhere.
-WhatsApp, Viber...or something like that which is working in Greece
    -Skype
    and:
    +++) Greek language.
I couldnt find it in the menue, but it is in the product description. If I just didnt see it, may be I deleted it from the menue unintentionally? Fact is now it isnt there in the menue (any more). To get it back I read that I have to download keyboard AND phone software to my PC first. If yes, from where and how?

Thats all I want from my Torch, no other Apps or something, nothing more than from my old Nokia 6700s. The rest I prefer to do from my PC at home. I got the Torch as a gift, and I like it, and stubborn refuse to buy an Android.
Do I want too much to expect some help from a kind member here?
Thank you in advance for any help.
