Hey,
I'm not sure if I'm the only person having this problem, but the Theme Builder 6 Beta keeps crashing on me when i try to change things around. Does anyone know if there is an OFFICIAL version for the Theme Builder 6 (torch)?
THANKS! :)

That's the only version out (Beta Version)
I know this is an old post but no one provided any helpful feedback and i dont know if he found it elsewhere.
I was running Vista and had the same issue. Id click an image to change it and TB6 would crash. Running Windows 7 now and i have 0 issues with TB6. So i'm wondering what youre running it on?
Currently, if you are running Windows Vista (any version - which I'm sure you probably are), Theme Builder 6 Beta DOES NOT work. Like you said, if you try to change any of the elements, it crashes.
As Cami mentioned above, I too was initially running Vista and had the same problems. I upgraded to Windows 7 and have not had ANY issues at all! I searched high and low for the answer only to find out that there is currently NO solution. I can tell you based on my searching for an answer that RIM is aware of the issue and is (hopefully) working on a fix.
The only compatible Windows OS's are XP

I believe the only current OS's that TB 6 works on are Windows XP and Windows 7.

[off topic] Did you upgrade your Vista machine to 7, or did you buy a new PC/notebook with 7? I've been thinking of upgrading my Vista to 7, but I'm afraid it would wipe my computer.
its always best to wipe/install new... upgrading will just pull all the old slop along with it and you wont get the performance boost.
Buy a new HD and Win7... install Win7 on the new HD and when done... you get a choice on boot.. Win7 or Vista... its handy. I can still fall back on Vista if I need to find something or whatever.
but the speed difference is crazy. Win7 boots in NO TIME.
I am using windows XP, although I am using it on a VM since I have a Mac. Would that make a difference on if TB 6 Beta will work or not? I really want to be able to create my own theme but it's pointless to try with it crashing all the time.
I did an upgrade frm Vista to XP. Like StaticFX said, clean install would be better, but I was too lazy at the time to do it the "right" way. I had zero problems. Make sure you do your research- your hardware needs to be compatible with Wiindows 7. Run the tool from Microsoft first to make sure.

I have heard that on vista you can drag and drop images in... but.. basically the issues is TB6 trying to show the open file dialog. ... so when you save it will crash.
