way to go showing everyone how cheap you are, really says something about your character. the theme is 1.99, if you want it so bad then put up the *insane* amount of cash I'm charging for it, make your own, or shut up.

$1.99 is approximately the cost of a cup of coffee, a bottle of pop, or a pack of gum... Not really much to pay considering all the work the theme creators put into their themes. I lack the creativity and the basic know-how to make my own themes... I don't mind paying a little bit for the efforts of the creators.

Blunt and a tad bit harsh, but perfectly reasonable. There'll always be some people that are too cheap or are incapable of paying for things.

Wow! Despicable! This thread is one that should be deleted. Dishonest n should not be allowed! I have to admit I hate spending $ on my bb. Not because I'm cheap but my addiction could make me broke. For real. But to try n copy someone hard dedicated work? Ninja, good thing is there's more good ones here that won't even consider it.

I certainly hope the OP is a child or younger teen who doesn't know any better. If it was a full grown adult then it's just downright disgraceful. I doubt anyone would fulfill her request. Why copy someone else's theme for no compensation when you could use your own talents to profit or further your own desires? At least I hope nobody has the audacity to do that.

Now that I look at it your post wasn't harsh at all ninja please. I just said it was because I imagined a 12 year old typing it up. Doesn't make it any less wrong.

I gave you the benefit of a doubt, but you've killed any shred of sympathy or understanding I had for you with this profound reply.

Don't you think it's insulting that you'd ask someone to make an exact copy of something someone's trying to sell?

With all due respect, you're the one who saw a theme that you liked that was created by Ninja, and then had the gall to ask for someone ELSE to re-create it, but for FREE. You didn't seem to care about the hard work that Ninja put into the theme. And my goodness... it's $1.99!! As someone else said, if you don't want to pay money for a theme, then learn how to make them yourself. You'll have a brand new appreciation for the hard work and effort that goes into creating them... I guarantee it.

This whole discussion got me thinking about copyrights. I can only assume that Ninja has Sanrio's permission to use Hello Kitty in his/her theme, right? Otherwise, how could someone stealing intellectual property criticize other person - particularly in such a rude manner - for copying his/her work? That would be taking hypocrisy to a new level, wouldn’t it ?

I was thinking about something similar the other day except about how some theme builders are using the iOS and HTC Sense UIs to build themes and sell them for profit. I wonder how Apple and HTC feel about that. Especially Apple considering how lawsuit-happy they tend to be with regards to their patents and copyrights, though they probably wouldn't waste their time with smaller fish when they have larger issues at hand.

Youre right, but I see a big difference (and so do legislators in the majority of countries) between violating copyrights for personal use and making a profit out of someone elses intellectual property

copyright permissions aren't hard to get. but begging someone to steal other people's intellectual property is just pathetic, and doesn't fly. however it is pretty flattering. I can only imagine what kind of hellfire fit the op throws over expensive themes.

I was telling it like it is, not being rude. if people want to be baby talked, they can go to a nursery.

Im confused. Does that mean you have Sanrios authorization? Because if you dont, you are stealing intellectual property and therefore have no moral standing imho to complain about anything or anybody. As for being rude, your last comment speaks for itself. Baby talked? I dont know in what kind of ghetto you were raised in but in my world that is called being respectful and polite. But, well, I should not expect someone making money out of stolen property to understand that, should I?

when I said baby talked, unfortunately I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about the OP but I'm sure most people figured that one out by now. so you can unflare your nostrils.
and by the way, not that it's of any concern to you (although I'm flattered you're so caring though I may have misunderstood that for your having a pretentious stick lodged somewhere fun), I don't step on copyrights and as I said permissions take little effort to get. and of course, I'll contact you if I ever need permission to use a troll's likeness on any themes. I won't be that rude.
anyway, carry on among yourselves. I take it a lot of people enjoy talking to walls around here? get to it.

There you go again!!! First you get angry at someone for trying to do exactly the same thing that you have being doing all along stealing intellectual property, that is. Now, you try to make it sound like Im the arrogant one here. Freud developed a whole theory about this defense mechanism of yours its called psychological projection. But hey, look at the bright side: even though Im a lawyer, not a psychiatrist, youve just got yourself a free diagnosis! Now, all you have to do is seek proper treatment. By the way, while you are at it, take the opportunity to address this annoying cacoethes for flattering yourself all the time, even when the situation does not warrant it (you did it twice on this thread alone).
