Honestly I think its because they want the theme and want to spread it around for free. If you have seen the thread on trading themes.. it seems that many requests come from people who cant speak very good english.

yeah there is defo something dodgey about that part of the world unfortunatley. thats why never give out urls for themes to them.

Let me help you answer that.

It's because on Indonesia, you can get a full BIS for $9 a month.
And with $4, you can get a medium pan of Pizza Hut. lol
So, you can see that a $4 theme is not cheap or even expensive for Indonesian people.

By the way, Malaysia and Indonesia is two different country.

I realise that clearly average incomes differ from country to country, but if indonesian / asia developers like raypho and ring walker charge $6 for themes then ppl can't complain that apps cost too much money.

We reguarly have our themes on special offer, we haven't discounted this theme yet as it took while to make.

so we are being honest, what dev wants comments like that on a thread titled premium? so what will the result be of people constantly asking for free stuff? people will simply either not post the themes, or not post theme where people are always asking questions like that.

i know we all love free stuff, but lets have some common courtsey and realise that if a product is marked as premium, then it costs money and isnt free

Yes, average incomes on South East Asia surely different from Europe or US.

Actually in Indonesia, there's a community of themer that give away their theme for free to Indonesian people first (on local website) before they sell it on international appstore.
But I'm not sure if raypho and ring walker are one of them or not.

And don't take this on me, I've never ask for free stuff from a thread titled premium.
I don't mind to buy a theme if I really like it. I've also bought some themes posted here on crackberry
I'm just helping u to understand the different in here and there.

Never try never know how good or and disadvantage on your theme... Once you pay you cant never go back... This what the reason for.. Is not that we cant afford it just we bought bug theme before.. If you were the buyer then you will understand... Ty

i have bought lot of stuff myself so yes i know how you feel, however this is the same with everything in life.

if you buy a new drink you are not sure if you like it before you buy and try it, if you go out for a meal and try a new restuarant you dont know if the food will be nice etc etc etc

if we could do free trials of themes we would as we know this helps, but at the moment there is no easy way to do it.

therefore we include all the important screenshots of the theme in the product page and we have made a video showing how the theme works - low quality but gives an idea!!

there are of course loads of free themes here on the forums and we do have free themes available sometimes in blackberry app world, but as we do this as our business our main product line is in paid themes
