I just noticed today that my Torch doesn't have any carrier branding. I bought it from Rogers Wireless [store] directly. Sorry for the fuzzy quality (webcam). I have "BlackBerry", but no "Rogers"... anyone else?
Congratulation actually. A debranded blackberry is actually better than a branded one. For one, the charger is a universal charger. This means you can change the head and for any country you are going to. The ATT charger head only works in the U.S. unless you use some kind of adapter to work in other country.
yes the Canadian ones aren't branded, i have one from Bell and it isn't branded either, just says "BlackBerry" on the front and "5.0 MP Auto Focus" on the back.
When you turn your phone on, does it show the carrier name?
Bell's pearls didn't when booted up. :0

THIS is an unbranded BlackBerry (or any other phone for that matter). For BB's, after the black loading screen it will show the old white screen with the old blue BlackBerry logo where the carrier would've went. Using something to scratch off the carriers name on the housing is just defacing it.
EDIT: Almost forgot... no carrier splash screen is also referred to as "factory unlocked."
hhmmm good to know This is the first Rogers Blackberry I've ever owned that didn't have branding on it. I didn't even notice until I saw it lying next to my boyfriend's on the coffee table.
