When ever I see pictures of the Blackberry Torch 9800 in white, I see a second hole next to the notification icon. What is that? Why are there two holes?

A proximity sensor? For what? It's not used as a front facing camera. It would be cool.

Its so that the screen turns off when the phone is up to your ear. Otherwise your face can touch the screen and press buttons

also acts as a light sensor to either dim out the screen or light it and the keys up when its dark. you can test this by putting your finger over the sensor and watching the keypad light up.
