VPN connection without BES, on Rogers Network
- Our company is using Cisco VPN. We are running BES. I have added a new VPN profile and did assign that to my WiFi connection. The only feedback I get is VPN State: Error - General!!!
At some point there was no log on the server side!
At some point this was what I got:
IKE Receiver: Runt ISAKMP packet discarded on Port 4500 from 199.15.87.4:7550
NAT-T keepalive received from 199.15.87.4/5224 to Outside:69.46.124.32/4500
Here is my VPN profile setup:
- go to options, security options and to VPN
- create new VPN connection
- select VPN vendor type (ours is cisco secure PIX firewall)
- put in a name of VPN
- put in concentrator ip address (this is our vpn server ip address)
- define VPN group name: 'Development' and password: 'undecoded password I received before'
- specify domain username\password (username \ LDAP pwd)
- tick on save passphrase if your password doesn't change
- tick on dynamically determine DNS if you get DNS ip addresses from DHCP (is this right?)
- tick on enable extended authentication: below are authentication details I have selected
no client certificate
no CA certificate
no ip address
no subnet mask
IKE DH Group: Group 2
IKE cipher: 3DES (168-bit key)
IKE hash: HMAC SHA1 (160-bits)
- use 3DES-SHA1 as IPSec crypto and has suite (leave perfect foward secrecy unticked)
- disable VPN banner
