You most likely need to input the carrier's apn settings
How do you get the APN settings?

Hi, I have a BlackBerry Torch 9800 which was brought on the Orange network, I have just unlocked to all networks so I can use my Vodafone Sim card, which works great, yet when I power-on or off the phone it still show the Orange image logo. How do I remove this or change it to Vodafone? Can anyone help me out, Thanks

I definetley loved my unlocked Torch 9800 for Tmobile when i had them but hated that they had no 3G OR 4g in my area so i switched and upgraded devices and carrier now im on the latest BB 7.1 with my Torch 9810. when i did have my 9800 all i had to do was push my service books from my Curve 8520 and tweek my APN settings to be able stream videos while on wifi, other then that its still great device, serves as my back up and the only thing i had to do was pay $14 to unlock my 9800. great phone!

When you unlock a Blackberry it will work for calls and SMS but the installed service books from the previous carrier are still installed on your unlocked Blackberry Torch.
To get the data services working you need to update the service books on your unlocked Blackberry device, contact your carrier and ask them to send you the updated service books or just download the service books used by your service provider and reinstall those that found on your device.
